Welcome back! I am continuing my goal of reading inspirational, motivational and personal development books each month of 2016. March turned out a little slim compared to previous months. However, we are still going to keep moving forward! My inspirational reads include:
- Get Your Hopes Up by Joyce Meyer
- The Good Among the Great by Donald Van de Mark
- How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie
Get Your Hopes Up by Joyce Meyer was a nice easy read and came at a great moment in my life. She encourages and reminds you to hope, trust, and believe that God has your situation or problem in control with a plan already laid out for you. Choose to see each day as an opportunity to live in the moment. Expect something good to happen to you each and every day regardless of whether you can see a difference or not.
The Good Among the Great by Donald Van de Mark shares 19 traits of the most admired, creative and joyous people. On the road to success, we want to be remembered for having great qualities, leadership and behaviors. As I’ve just begun reading this book, there should be some good attitudes and personality traits that we can incorporate into our own lives to be a better person.
How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie is a classic that I’ve heard so much about. My version is on audio to listen in the car during long commutes. As I am just starting this one, I am very curious to learn these smart strategies and techniques to use in my own life. Stay tuned for next month. Happy reading!
